Bill Diett #13, was born November 24, 1933 in Medicine Hat and passed away December 3, 2006.
Bill served as educator and allocator for many years. He meticulously hand-printed the game assignments for each official and handed them out at the education meetings. Also recruited many BCFOA members still active to this day.
After his passing, Bill Diett was honoured with an annual award presented to the BC High School football team that displays the highest degree of sportsmanship during that season.
A member for more than 25 years, Bill was consistently relied upon to provide leadership, serve as a mentor and role model, always displaying an always calming demeanor and a giving spirit.
His #13 has been officially retired.
