Bob Scott

Bob Scott was born in Burnaby B.C.  Growing up he built an impressive athletic pedigree participating in track and field, soccer, rugby, basketball, and baseball while in junior high school.  At the varsity level he participated in football, track and field, and wrestling.

In University it was a year of Football, 3 years of Wrestling, finishing 2nd in the Western Canada championships in his weight class.

Bob also coached Bantam Football for 2 years (1971-72) at Bobolink Park in Vancouver.

His officiating career began in 1974 with the BCFOA, moving up to the BCJFL in 1976, and to university football games in 1980.   Other notable milestones included: three Vanier Cups, two Churchill and one Mitchell Bowl, several West University playoff games, at least 6 B.C. Junior Football playoffs and Championships and at least 6 Canadian Junior Championships as well as three Shrum Bowls.  He was also allocated to many high school play-off games and finals.

Three years were also spent as a member of CFL officiating crews.

Bob has served the association as President on three different occasions and Vice-President for one term. During his term the allocator position transitioned from an elected to an appointed position.  He also looked after the education for the association for many years and served on many committees.

Bob attended four CFOA conferences as the BC representative and helped organize two conferences that were hosted in British Columbia.

Bob Scott is highly respected for his dedication and commitment to the BCFOA and the excellence he has displayed on both the American and Canadian gridirons.
